About us

The hostel is operating in a renovated karstic house, which is˝protected as a cultural monument. We offer a guided examination of our ˝Slamčevi homestead˝, learning about karstic architecture and farmers life itself. And for our guests the hostel offers 35 beds in 6 different rooms.

Youth hostel Pliskovica came out as a result of collaboration of the Municipality of Sežana, EU and Phare Programme. With the help of the Institute for protection of cultural heritage and hard working locals, the hostel was opened in june of 2003.

Our Mission

The mission of our hostel is the development of sustainable tourism and expanding the bonds with other touristic bidders on Karst and building new ones aswell. And of course, taking care of our guests, nature, employees and owners.

The unique atmosphere of the old karstic house is the one that makes our Youth Hostel so special. We all believe that this old house has it's soul, and it's own story, the story of past generations that have lived in it.
