Hostel kras

In 2000, the idea of having a youth hostel in Slovenian Karst region was born. The idea came out as a result of collabortion of youth center Podlaga and Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth of the community of Sežana.

In 2002 started the first construction works for reconstruction of the old carstic homestead which was already protected as cultural monument. In all these years it kept all the elements of typical Karstic arcitecture.

From the opening of the hostel in 2003, youth hostel tends to be point of interest for all the visitor of Karst region. From 13.6.2003 we have an info point with all the necessary informations of the main touristic offer of the region.  

In 2006 we received silver "Sejalec" award from Slovenian tourist board for project "Experience Karst at Karst".
