The Hotel Pliskovica operates in a renovated karst homestead that is protected as a cultural monument. We offer guests 35 beds arranged in two buildings in a large, enclosed yard. The building, which once served as the living part of the homestead, the »house« has kitchens with a living room on the ground floor. On the first floor are two connected rooms, one eight-bedroom and one two-bedroom. The attic has two rooms, one for two and one for three guests. Two shared bathrooms are available to guests in this part of the hostel. In the lower building, which used to be a barn, there is a multipurpose room on the ground floor for up to 50 people and two bathrooms, and on the first floor, there is one 6-bed room and one 14-bed room.
At our reception, the guests can obtain information about renting bicycles, cycling, and hiking trails.

We offer 35 beds in six rooms of different sizes located in a karst house and a barn, a shared bathroom and dining room and the possibility of using the kitchen.
The structure of the hostel itself offers ideal opportunities for mutual interactions, both between the guests themselves, as well as between the guests and the. By staying in rooms with several beds and gathering in the shared kitchen, dining room, multipurpose hall, summer kitchen and yard, the Youth Hotel Pliskovica offers not only a place to spend the night but also a social and cultural centre where travellers can exchange experiences, meet new people and are involved in diverse activities.

The Youth Hotel Pliskovica, established in cooperation between the Municipality of Sežana, the EU and Phar program funds, the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and diligent local people, opened its doors in June 2003.
2000
In 2000, the youth of the municipality of Sežana, united in the Podlaga Youth Center, together with the Inter-Community Association of Friends of the Youth of Sežana, came up with the idea of the foundation of a youth hotel.
2002
In 2002, after all the necessary documentation was prepared, construction and later craft work began on the homestead, which was already a protected cultural monument. Up until today, it has preserved all the typical elements of the karst architecture.
2003
Since its opening on June 13, 2003, the Youth Hotel Pliskovica has tried to be a stopping point for all visitors to the Karst and transit passengers. That is why we have always had an info corner with the main tourist offer of the Karst since then.
2006
In 2006, we received the Silver Sower Award from the Slovenian Tourism Organization for the "Experience the Karst on the Karst" project.
2010
At the competition "My Country, Beautiful and Hospitable", the Youth Hotel Pliskovica receives recognition as the 2nd best youth accommodation in Slovenia.
2011
At the competition "My Country, Beautiful and Hospitable", the Youth Hotel Pliskovica receives a silver award in the category of youth accommodation.
2012
At the competition "My Country, Beautiful and Hospitable", the Youth Hotel Pliskovica receives a gold award in the category of youth accommodation.
2014
The offer of the Youth Hotel Pliskovica is enriched by acquiring the Pliskafe Bar.
2015

2021
In 2021, our KRAS Hostel obtained the Green Key environmental mark, the leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation in the tourism industry.

In 2024, we arranged the banks in our yard, thereby gaining additional space for events and gatherings.
